What about a specific "animal handling" set of gloves, that protects from crabs, quills, seal finger, etc, at the expense of wear.

Where would be the fun in that?

I can see this in reference to "poor man's gloves with infinite durability should not invalidate crabs", but where's the problem with an investment of resources to specifically be able to interact, temporarily, with something otherwise dangerous?

Adding a resource sink to circumvent a pain in the ass doesn't mean it's not a pain in the ass anymore, I think.

The way crabs are set up now means there's little point in picking them up without using an alt, which points to bad design in my opinion.
