When mining stone in a cave. The quality of the stone is limited to white "Stoneworking"
Bonus from things with gilding does not affect!
P.S. Sorry for translating with Google.

Re: Extraction of stones in the cave.
The skill is "Masonry" that caps stone, ore, clay, and sand quality. The number being green simply means it is higher than the base from some bonus. The number being red means it is taking a penalty from something (usually a concussion). If you have bonuses, but have a white value, the bonuses are being offset by penalties of some sort.
And it's been a while since I've done heavy mining, didn't they add in tool quality softcapping the stone/ore when mining? I'll have to double check. (the only ore I've found so far is low enough Q it doesn't matter.) edit: was added around June 2017 or before (date of addition to the ROB wiki).

Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Tool quality also affects mined stone quality.

Check, please. The quality of the ax is 29, "Stoneworking" is 25 white, and green is 34. The stone was digging 29, and a friend was digging 32 stones with the same ax, but with 40 "Stoneworking".

There is always some extra +- for the ore/stone you dig even from the same tile. And quality between tiles may differ. Plus Quarryman and Miner credos add to the quality too, which might be the case.Vanokillerskz wrote:Check, please. The quality of the ax is 29, "Stoneworking" is 25 white, and green is 34. P.S. In your example it's hard to see the evidence as the difference is not that big. I actually had a case of quite high q stone a few days ago and it was quite obvious that full value of masonry is taken into account, not just the base one (otherwise I would not be hitting the results I did).
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.

Yes of course. I know about the difference (I took into account the average quality score). You check with a stronger difference between quality and stats.

Actually, in your example it would be easy to prove yourself wrong if you took off the clothes. Should bring the stone to q25-ish right away. Masonry hardcaps the q and that's a fact.

Re: Extraction of stones in the cave.
Are you saying that with masonry 25, without quarryman/miner credos and (can't run the game now to confirm, but I think some of the skills like tunneling are adding to the q of the stones now) tunneling skills you are getting quality above 25???Vanokillerskz wrote:I removed the clothes, nothing has changed.
