Right now, if you are to do the nomad credo, you'd be expected to pass most of your time sailing the seas in search of an NPC on a completely different continent than yours.
This sounds more like what an ocean voyager would be doing rather than a nomad (usually implies travelling on foot or by horseback) or a mystic.
I just started the nomad credo and so far I've gotten 4 quests out of 9 which would require to cross an ocean to complete.
I heard quest targets were never supposed to be on a different continent, so I'm assuming this is a bug.
Or if it's not true, then the credo itself is very misleading given the description mentioning travelling on foot or horseback and bonus to Pony Power, but nothing about sailing on a ship and crossing oceans.
"...accompanied perhaps only be wild horses and beasts of burden."

No. You can get a summons to anywhere in the world. There are just some general rules on distance and such. Nomad is one of those ones that intentionally send you to the opposite corners of the map.digzol wrote:I heard quest targets were never supposed to be on a different continent, so I'm assuming this is a bug.
You have a good point in that the flavor text and description probably need updated to include ocean travel.

Also a question - would the Herder Credo give you a quest to tether animal on other continent w/o any ability to dilever that animal in needed place?

I'd say if you do run across this one, bug report it.Enjoyment_2 wrote:Also a question - would the Herder Credo give you a quest to tether animal on other continent w/o any ability to dilever that animal in needed place?

Why do people not get that Nomad is/will send you to the maximum farthest of quest giver.
Boggles my mind how people think it will be in their own backyard.

Maybe because the description only makes sense for pre-W11 worlds? The title of this post isn't "Nomad quest is too far", it's about how Nomad doesn't really fit the description of a sea navigator.maze wrote:Why do people not get that Nomad is/will send you to the maximum farthest of quest giver.
And why should you get a Pony Power bonus when most of what you do in your credo is required to travel by Knarr?

it's an alpha game. sometimes things get missed during updates. We've been discussing this issue in C&I or HDI about the text needing updating.it was this thread in earlier posts.digzol wrote:Maybe because the description only makes sense for pre-W11 worlds? The credo was created before there was a body of water that took more than 10 seconds to cross.

I know. Makes sense. It's the reason I made this post afterall...
It just boggles my mind that people's minds are boggled for no reason

Re: Nomad credo more like Ocean Voyager credo
should replace pony power with something else though now its less relevant with continents. Maybe like "Slightly faster movement speed in all vehicles" or something? Something relevant to the world changes and what the credo requirements are
