Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
If nobody intervened with the Nidbane, shouldn't it have beaten you all the way to death? Or did you only have theft and no rage, making it unable to attack you while KO'd?

I have all criminal skills, I think. But yes, that about sums up the bugs: It attacked me instantly, and it didn't finish the job.vatas wrote:If nobody intervened with the Nidbane, shouldn't it have beaten you all the way to death? Thankful for the outcome because I'm sure there would be no restoring my character should this turn out to be a bug, still miffed at the implication people can just continually send nidbanes to unguarded characters and hit them for chip damage and kill eventually via concussion.

Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
I got attacked by invisible nidbanes, 2 concussions, and bunch nidburns from who the hell knows where. My fighter was sleeping in a spruce bed as well.
EDIT: It appears people could possibly be summoning nidbanes, and using alts to attack it so it instantly attacks its target.

Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
that is exactly whats going on. Its been that way since at least W10. was told by a friend when sending out nids agro it with an alt after the 3rd or 4th one sometimes a skull would come back.

Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
Its a great thing that nidbanes are finally an actual threat!

Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
To Confirm this, Beds are bugged. Another nidbane was sent after me, yet this one is actually waiting like intended. I purposely stayed away from a bed. Beds make nidbanes attack instantly, could do with the new update allowing outlaws to sleep in beds.

Maybe its intended.
You can take the risk to sleep in the bed if you want to.
But then nidbanes will come and get you.

Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
Have you considered the possibility that the KO is in consequence of the non-rage alt attacking it?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how it went down from my understanding:
- Rage char commits crime
- Rage char goes to sleep
- Nidbane is summoned
- Nidbane immediately attacks sleeping char (possible bed bug)
- Non-Rage char attacks Nidbane to defend Rage-Char
- Nidbane KOs Non-rage char
- Nidbane KOs Rage char
If that's the case, is it possible that the Nidbane becomes incapable of killing you if it first has to "kill" an unkillable (KOing him, without rage) character?

Re: Instantly attacked hy nidbanes
It appears, other people cant attack nidbanes anymore. Im thinking Jorb or Loftar disabled this real quick while they look into it. Beds where I think they should move their focus. That seems to be the culprit.
