Well palisades can't get demoed by rocks for pvp concerns I'd guess. The hitbox situation isn't a bug, it's just how it works. Maybe palisades should cause cave ins to hit a tile beside them instead?

I would be very irritate if my wall is made so ugly by this. Either this thing should not happen or there should be some way to fix it without breaking wall first.

Problem solved! I don't see any issues with this solution whatsoever, thus this is clearly not a bug, but intended feature of the game!!

if by that you mean "emergent gameplay and things just do what they do because maybe we missed thinking about it." then sure, I'll give you that one... I'm going to say it's more not an easy thing to properly handle and occurs because there just hasn't been time to create nice things like rocks falling to either side of an "indestructible" object rather than the middle of it.
