Speaking about new worlds, I've counted 3 "supervolcano" calderas on w11 map. I wonder if it would be possible when w11 will come to end to make them erupt, maybe? That would be GLORIOUS

It's not about falling behind but what is a genuine slew of awful changes that make the game 10x worse.

Revert road changes, remove hunger, nerf satiations, remove midges, change quests, create stagnant whirlpools for global travel or everyone will quit.

Thankfully the base defenses are strong currently. That type of player has suffered notably in previous worlds before claim shields.
