Re: Dying without rage
In case you're low on HHP you can still die from combat. Not having rage means that you're not guaranteed to die on case you are bested in PvP.

Re: Dying without rage
prolly what you meant, but just to be clear there's plenty of room to kill people from full HHP. You can do 119.9%(plus 5-20% concussion) HHP just with cleaves, and if you're really try harding there's some other misc strats to slightly increase HHP damage on people that rly don't know what they're doing.Granger wrote:In case you're low on HHP you can still die from combat.

That's the issue.SnuggleSnail wrote:there's plenty of room to kill people from full HHP.
Instead of protecting non-rage players, it just gives a false sense of hope.
I'm perfectly ok with being killable if I go around not full HHP. I could have waited in a safe place to heal up and blah blah blah. But if "at my best" I can still be obliterated and killed by a fighter, than what's the point?
Changes are the non-rage players are the ones that have no clue how to defend themselves, and the rage-able players are the ones that know what to do to ensure a kill.

Re: Dying without rage
Ppl dying in Haven and Hearth is not is issue.
If you don't have rage and people don't know your HP values it's pretty easy to survive somebody with higher numbers that you a majority of the time. The only people who get pooped on are those who are clueless about combat, and generally there's enough ways to kill those to where I'd argue it doesn't really matter.
In short: I agree, nobody should be able to hearth/logout while unconscious.
P.S: If you wanna complain about anything with regard to this, complain about early game wounds being so prevalent/required to function. The difference between full HHP and 90% HHP is massive in terms of death:KO rates. Picking some nettles and harvesting some beehives is prolly enough to kill you xd

Certainly possible, as per what others have stated.

It is not false though. If you have reasonable amount of HHP (doesn't matter full or not) it's quite hard to die.Mr_Bober wrote:Instead of protecting non-rage players, it just gives a false sense of hope.
Also, I don't understand where you got the idea that there is some sort of protection in the rage change. The change was not about protecting non-rages. It was about making rages more vulnerable.
People who know what they are doing will always be at the advantage.Changes are the non-rage players are the ones that have no clue how to defend themselves, and the rage-able players are the ones that know what to do to ensure a kill.
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.

I mean, there are ways to prevent ever dieing, no matter how skilled and knowledgeable your opponent may be. But its apparently not obvious to a lot of people and is contradictory to the way most people play the game.

I'm assuming you're talking about that super fun 1shp tactic.neeco wrote:I mean, there are ways to prevent ever dieing, no matter how skilled and knowledgeable your opponent may be. But its apparently not obvious to a lot of people and is contradictory to the way most people play the game.
What happened to not allowing SHP overkill? Or are these workarounds to that still in existance?
