Trying to repair a boat that is in deep water in a cave while standing on land nets the message "Boats cannot be repaired on the high seas".
Suggestion: Make it so we can repair as long as we are standing on land instead of checking if boat is in deep water?

Re: Boat repairing in cave
You can repair a boat in shallow water while sitting in it, should this be gone too and you have to stand on land to repair it?

I don't think "deep water" should be equal to "high seas" in this case, it's not like you're in a tiny underground ocean, right?
Also, @Granger, OP isn't requesting to remove repair-from-inside-the-boat feature, he's saying "high seas" check should be removed if a character repairing a boat is standing on solid ground (if you're standing on land and your boat is "on the high seas", the seas ain't that high, matey).

True, but it's also the case that you are in water deep enough to be unable to wade in it, which I kind of imagined was the distinguishing factor, so perhaps it is just the message that should be fixed, rather than the mechanic.Hasta wrote:I don't think "deep water" should be equal to "high seas" in this case, it's not like you're in a tiny underground ocean, right?

Then, the message should be "your boat has to be on land or in shallow water in order to be repaired".
Although I'd rather see the character's location as the distinguishin factor here: if you're on land (or wading shallow water), you can repair your boat with boards (i.e. replace broken hull parts etc); if you're inside of the boat you may repair it, deep water or not, but only up to 50% durability, and using tar and/or thatching material (i.e. reinforce internal integrity and stop the leakage). But, yeah, that would be "fixing the mechanic" =)
