How long do elven lights spawn? Is it just in real life December or will it happen every in game winter?

The decoration texture is scaled around the tree's fully grown texture, so it's less a bug and more of a oversight or "intentional neglect" in design due to time/effort constraint.

I do like this curio though, will it last through the holiday season?
