Oh thank for the answer, the word is not the good one, I thought it was the same in english. I'm looking for the "scores" or "scrolls" (?)borka wrote:while i'm not sure what you're asking for - portions/scenes/cuts ?!?
Like for each instrument have the notes played drawn, like that :

Sorry about the wrong wording

Probably won't get scores from here, but I think that this kaka is the man behind the soundtrack. sadly he is known for logging in forums not that often!

There are many as MIDI (at least... not sure about ogg, but pretty sure it's same deal from what I recall) is a digital translation of a musical score describing frequency, length, and "musical instrument" in a synthesizer bank. Some of the professional sound cards come with such software to translate back and forth (and some of the commercial cards, too, as I know I've gotten it with some of the mid to high consumer grade Sound Blaster cards in the past).borka wrote:have a look ... dunno but prolly there's even a tool out there that writes midi/ogg to scores

From what I know, conversion of some music recording to scores/notes (melody transcription), is computationally a very difficult task, that has been studied quite a lot (like a really lot) and still cannot be accurately nor efficiently made at all. (which is somewhat interesting, because we have things like quite accurate speech recognition, but no music recognition)MagicManICT wrote: translate back and forth

Yes, there are issues, just like with language translation. Additionally, when converting from a score to MIDI, composition marks basically get thrown out, and thus cannot be recovered if going from MIDI to score.shubla wrote:From what I know, conversion of some music recording to scores/notes (melody transcription), is computationally a very difficult task, that has been studied quite a lot (like a really lot) and still cannot be accurately nor efficiently made at all.
