Re: Amber Client
Maybe an option control to restrict it so I don't accidentally zoom all the way out like that. It can take a bit to render the map when loading at long distance zoom levels.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Re: Amber Client
Happened right after or with tiny delay after I pressed Print Screen.
Additional details that might have an effect, I have dual monitor setup (both are captured) and ShareX.

Re: Amber Client
Well, it does not leave the console open. It still closes itself after a second or two without any output in there. It goes likeborka wrote:this is my run.bat which works and leaves the cmd window open - while i have the environment variables set (sadly you'll have to edit it with every Java update)Code: Select all
start javaw -Xss1024k -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar hafen.jar -U https://game.havenandhearth.com/hres/ game.havenandhearth.com Pause
https://javatutorial.net/set-java-home-windows-10
alternativly you may edit a second bat file with notepad i.e. pathrun.bat for a test
Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_241\bin\javaw.exe" -Xss1024k -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar hafen.jar -U https://game.havenandhearth.com/hres/ game.havenandhearth.com Pause
>console window opens and closes
>very small game windows opens and also closes
And I have no idea why "Pause" does not work.

Re: Amber Client
1. What happens when you open cmd.exe by doubleclicking it - does the cmd window stay open?
2.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\haven
search for (prolly at bottom)
wndmax
wndsz
set wndmax to false =windowed mode
set wndsz to pixels a bit smaller than your resolution (at least so that taskbar is shown)
2.
game window size Amber settings in Registry (regedit.exe):>very small game windows opens and also closes
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\haven

Re: Amber Client
That was the case. It didn't and I would never think about it.borka wrote:1. What happens when you open cmd.exe by doubleclicking it - does the cmd window stay open?
Something added a strange registry key that made cmd close itself. Deleted it and now everything works as usual.
Thank you very much!

New Implementations

Snow should no longer overwrite tiles on your world map. Requires client update.
