How do I change game textures?

There is a way to change game textures? I wuld like to make ores easier to spot...
Anyone know how?

Apologies for the earlier comments and locking the thread. I saw the other similar posts recently and should have double checked first on the exact contents before taking an action. Moved this thread to The Wizards' Tower where it should more likely get seen by those who might help with the question.

Let me apologie as well. I wanted to chage this textures so bad that i posted everywhere.

Meanwhile,
Boshaw helped me by sending a program for decoding haven .res files.

I can change textures now, but i can't figure out where i have to put them.

By the post I read, i have to extract the content from hafen-res.jar, then enter in res folder and change what i want there. But i does not work for me...
I changed the birch texture to be FULL pink, for testing.

Am I missing something?
There is a folder somewhere that i dont know of?
