Re: Isn't gate grieving against rules? Need help if it is :D
shit ton of hearthfires from one butthole surfer and his alts camped out on your palisade gate is one way to grief. and the remedy for THAT is to extend your claim so that if they come back to the fires, they are trapped and cant do anything. and a farther remedy is to get vandalism, tea, boartooth snuff, and a pissed off farmer who keeps nagging at her ranger (in realife also) husband to destroy said griefer hearthfires. who does so posthaste.

You do know that character HF spawning ignores claims.bear2973 wrote:shit ton of hearthfires from one butthole surfer and his alts camped out on your palisade gate is one way to grief. and the remedy for THAT is to extend your claim so that if they come back to the fires, they are trapped and cant do anything. and a farther remedy is to get vandalism, tea, boartooth snuff, and a pissed off farmer who keeps nagging at her ranger (in realife also) husband to destroy said griefer hearthfires. who does so posthaste.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

To seal a post means to seal a corner post so it can no longer be extended. If it's not sealed, someone can extend that cornerpost, and block the gate, make their own gate in front of your gate, etc.Jacob_Lee wrote:What the fuck do you mean "Seal Post?"

Basically, they wrap a palisade wall around your base with very little supplies required to abuse & build a RAM(building a RAM far away requires a lot of bone glue which is easy to obtain but generally grievers won't spend their time wheeling their RAM all the way there as once again as they're the equivalent of forum trolls it would probably be too much effort for them.) generally a lot closer or just to be a JA for the "lolz".Jacob_Lee wrote:Bah, what is gate grieving then?
If I was to seal the cornerpost(They won't be able to build off of it.) they probably wouldn't have went through the effort of grieving as it would have required a lot more supplies and Grievers are generally lazy. It's no suprise that these grievers were associated with Macro'ing(Generally setting up a bot to do stuff for you to train your character without you actually playing.) their chars to get "good stats". To put it simply, it's people like these that break people's games and they think they're "cool" or "popular" by doing so...hahah, that basically sums them up.
They're commonly known as "grunt workers" irl. You know, the people serving you at Mcdonalds, Burger King, and stores like Walmart.
They have probably said, "Would you like fries with that?" at least a couple hundred times.

not mad, but its stupid.
seems to be a new trend to decry people who "wins a fight".
why not grant someone his victory? saying "nice move, but next time its my turn."
actually this happens in every multiplayer game and decrease a lot of the fun. imo

i also know the only reason to do it in front of someones gate is to be an ass...especially if you are uninvited. in case you havent realized it yet, i was the one screaming about the 14 hearthfires at the gates. think that was random?Dataslycer wrote:You do know that character HF spawning ignores claims.bear2973 wrote:shit ton of hearthfires from one butthole surfer and his alts camped out on your palisade gate is one way to grief. and the remedy for THAT is to extend your claim so that if they come back to the fires, they are trapped and cant do anything. and a farther remedy is to get vandalism, tea, boartooth snuff, and a pissed off farmer who keeps nagging at her ranger (in realife also) husband to destroy said griefer hearthfires. who does so posthaste.
