We've seen it happen before with hermits, but I'm pretty sure this guy had like 5 villagers so if that were the case he likely logged on to fuck his remaining villagers over

Idk, I only said that because we have also seen people do exactly what I said. One of the villagers gets killed and says 'fuck it' and then they log into all the village miners/farmers etc to suicide rather than leaving them for their villagers

It's a pretty pessimistic view, but I've seen the same behavior in other games than Haven. When in Fight or Flight mode, a person doesn't think rationally. They end up reacting in some of the most vile ways possible with little consideration of anyone other than their own emotional needs.
