Wine should get better with age if its left in a bottle on a wine rack in a cellar. (like real life right? )
your thoughts people?

Re: Wine, Racks, and Cellars. An idea I got.
I like the idea, a lot. Would make wine a bit more realistic without getting overly specific (it's usually left to age in the barrel not the bottle I believe, could be wrong), gives wine bottles/racks a reason other than 'it's classy'.
Would also make ruins so AWESOME if you run into an old wine rack!

For some reason I thought this was the way it already was, but that is a great idea.

it's been suggested a lot. wine racks should hold more, imo. and the amount of improvement has been debated at length. but i think some improvement would be nice.

wine racks are cool just as furniture and decoration. I'd completely forgotten about them.
Right now just about everyone I know stores wine in buckets, it's brutal and uncivilised.

I just thought of the solution. Wine Bottles stored in Wine Racks has the quality of wine increased as time goes on. If you keep Wine Bottles in buckets or in bottles that are not in Wine Racks, no quality is gained from the aging process. This will see that Wine Racks are used.

That's exactly what OP meant.Cheswin wrote:I just thought of the solution. Wine Bottles stored in Wine Racks has the quality of wine increased as time goes on. Heh, I know. I said it as more of a joke.DatOneGuy wrote:That's exactly what OP meant.Cheswin wrote:I just thought of the solution. This reminds me of a conversation I had on the matter. To paraphrase, the other fellow said "Wine buckets sounds like a hobo thing. Now beer buckets sound like a party."theTrav wrote:wine racks are cool just as furniture and decoration. I'd completely forgotten about them.

My thoughts on the matter amount to a +1 for encouraging the actual use of wine racks, both through quality increase and preferably through holding more bottles. (Perhaps even having a couple of different models in different sizes).
It'd be nice if beer got tweaked too, though, as currently its sole advantage is you can keep it larges amounts of it without using up cupboard space or having it vinegarize on you.

I like the idea of aging wine in bottles in wine-racks, as has been stated before. Also keeping wine in barrels stable, and turning wine in buckets to vinegar. Its not the most realistic way to portray the processes, but I think the gameplay would be improved.
And yeah, beer does need something. With new hunger system, drinking more than 1 sip of beer/stat gain is just cheating yourself of FEP...
