I hope this gets fixed soon, I hate the default client of haven and hearth, because I can't see the Quality of the items in game without hovering over it and waiting for more info on it and so much more.

This is very useful. If more people could share their cache folder, I could combine all relevant resource files into one directory. It would be especially useful if you have visited multiple dungeon types or have seen a lot of different objects (such as various different board and block types). Together with a small patch to handle dyn resources this would allow custom clients to continue working for the time being.

Seems that it is impossible just to merge custom clients with the new render (too many changes, some classes disappeared, methods changed...). May be somebody will start a new custom client based on the new code, just like it was in w8 times.

Make sure you extract to C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Haven and Hearth

If you use win10 like me you have to check "show hidden" to see AppData folder (under View from top bar of Windows Explorer)

Known missing files:
*Found village UI (causes crash when you click dried but not-yet-founded Idol and collide with it)

I highly recommend not entering dungeons due to most likely missing files (I've re-installed my OS since the I did Dungeons) and general high-risk nature of them.
What a lad. Much appreciated.

I smoked weed, drank wine and milk, and now my client crashes and I can't get back in. My other characters can log in fine. Basically cross fade.

Is there a fix for this?

You need to log in with default client and wait for the effects to go away, then relog to Amber.

Amber client crash problem

Post by Vnalor »

I experienced it first hand when I was on my way to haul some leftover piles from an abandoned settlement.
Apparently large settlements causes my client to crash even though I have not even touched/went near to walls.
It's like sending me a message not to do anything rash as stealing, though I know its a rendering problem.
Ender client/ Purus doesn't run at all for me too, only default client works perfectly fine.
I'm afraid I'd be a permanent farmer since I don't experience client crash at all when I'm in my place.
