Perhaps the entrance to the beaver dungeons could have a small pond of walkable water to allow boats to still function when you enter?

I can only dream of all the people running away from beavers just to slow down in the entrance water and get surrounded and dunked.

laughable, but i think that may be a much more preferred option, atleast then you dont have to worry about the whole boat flip thing and snekkjas getting stuck inside. I like the idea of a sort of pond inside, its atleast logical with how beaver dams are made irl.

I mean, if the boat is there you can put it to the edge and board it from the land. Consistent with the outside, if you leave your boat far enough from land while you're dragging a bear to it its kind of your own fault if you slow down in the shallows.
