I haven't made it all the way into Russia. Covid stopped me halfway there. I have been to the USA though, and I drove over the raised highway on the way to New Orleans, passing over the huts and shacks lived in by the "swamp hicks". I saw some places which resemble that picture on the outskirts of town in some eastern European countries. It was not the standard. People there just seem to have other priorities than spending heaps of cash on "stuff". It's a fading attitude though.
Russia lost the cold war because they pissed off the landholders by taking their property. From that moment on there was a faction within communist Russia determined to pit everything they had to overthrow the system. It was a complex issue, but the superiority of capitalism was not the cause of their demise. Capitalism exploits human greed as a method of control. Communism could not defeat human greed.
The main reason for my sentiment toward Russia is the emphasis there on family. Parents in the west are literally selling their children to priests for a few extra dollars. It's widespread. Open your eyes.
I'd like to know if the orthodox church is any better.
To be more on topic though, does the citizen need so much choice? They can go to a supermarket and choose between a variety of foodstuffs which are filled with toxins or which have had much of the nutrition removed and replaced with unhealthy filler. Food culture in the USA amongst the working class is a tragedy.

Yes. As stated I operate outside of the left/right paradigm.
It can be confusing for the small minded. Centrism is superior, and difficult for plebs to understand. This is why they recite their endless left/right mantras.
Just keep in mind government already has its hand in your pocket.Where is that money being spent? Do you even know? Certainly it is not being spent on ensuring your food products are healthy and free of contamination.
But what does this have to do with peanut butter? Again you guys are talking all about me without much content on topic. Quite obsessive.

I tried it on bread but didn't really change the taste! But I only eat rye bread so maybe it would work better on some toast.strpk0 wrote: have you tried spreading it on bread? because if not that's kind of like putting a handful of salt in your mouth and calling salt in general "unpleasant"

Re: Request For Comments: Peanut butter
I bought 100% natural peanut butter with no additives. It has oil layer on top of it, apperantly thats normal when its all natural.
The peanut butter is kinda hard, I couldn't spread it on anything without alot of force if I wanted to and I mix it with the oil that is on top of it and blend it in my berry drink. Pretty good stuff.
I have been eating the raw peanuts pretty regularly, but I think I like it in the form of butter better.

Made some cookies. Its not too bad now. But mostly because the recipe was 50/50 sugar and peanut butter! Still quite dry though. And some is still remaining.
Weird idea but I guess that apple could make it less dry.try spreading it on a banana or apple

Re: Request For Comments: Peanut butter
Natural peanut butter is not dry. Once mixed after opening a fresh jar, it'll be more the consistency of Nutella or other spread. It's the brand or how the peanut butter was made. Peanuts are very oily... one of the oiliest nuts, and soybeans are the only legume that is oilier. You can dry roast fresh, raw peanuts yourself, and even overcook them, and they'll still be oilier than most major brands of peanut butter. A good blender or food processor is all you need to turn them into peanut butter, too. Just to note: overcooking the nuts will make them hard and won't process very well.
Vegetables go with peanut butter well, too--celery, carrots, etc. My brothers loved "bumps on a log"-- A celery stalk filled with peanut butter and topped with raisins.
The "Elvis Presley"--peanut butter and banana sandwich, lightly toasted.Baldarich wrote:try spreading it on a banana or apple
