Digging for LP?
Lately I have been digging since I have a huge supply of fish with my mad fishing skills, is this a waste of time?

Well, it can get you worms, among other things. I'm told it's decent LP too, but it's best to just watch the rate yourself and decide.

Most of the time you are digging for soil or clay, LP it's moderate but it is does drain 3% stamina per completion.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Re: Digging for LP?
Digging for LP is a good way to get it if you dig clay, you can also actually use said clay for trading purposes if made into bricks.
Hunting is also great, you can start at any time with a boat and a sling, as well as farming.
Farming is great LP if you have a lot of crops you don't care about to spare (Perhaps ask a farmer you know if he has crops he was going to throw out/use to plant grass) and plant them in a nice big area, then harvest them all/replant them.
Cutting trees, and making buckets is also pretty good LP. At 360% I get about 180 for cutting the tree into logs, 180 for cutting logs into boards, and 100~200 for each bucket (4 per log, 2 logs per tree).
I'm not sure if it'll be the best LP/minute, but it's pretty good.
If you have the time and are on enough setting up a nice big area for planting/harvesting is fine because you can do it once every 2 days and do whatever else inbetween, works best if you plant all at once or split them half a day.

Best LP/minute is hunting and it's not even close. Even with the ongoing nerfs of hunting. Of course you first have to get there. If you not just want a boring lp grind I recommend farming. It is also the second best way to gain lp once you have decent quality goods to harvest and craft.

Two questions related to this.burgingham wrote:Best LP/minute is hunting and it's not even close. Even with the ongoing nerfs of hunting. Of course you first have to get there. How high of a hunting would you need for that to be the deal? It takes me a while at 85 Marksmanship/64 Melee to take out boars/deer and if I don't trap them in some way or 1hko them they run and I lose LP.
As for farming, the quality doesn't effect LP when planting, not sure about harvesting (Haven't really checked), so I assume you mean plant a lot of wheat-> wheat flour->bread dough?
I'm not sure if doing so matches up with hunting but it sure is great LP.

I am not realy a hunter this map. Thanes will go a long way towards sealing the deal. With good thanes and some lp investment 200-250 melee are no problem. That should be enough to make hunting the best lp gain around.DatOneGuy wrote: How high of a hunting would you need for that to be the deal? Yeah neither harvesting nor replanting lp change with q. I mean flour and all the other recipes for lp. It is nowhere near hunting but I am able to make 100k lp for doing my whole farm. Takes me about 2.5 hours and all crops are q140 or better. I used to be able to make up to 200k lp an hour with the old combat system and the old animal spawn rates, cannot tell you how much you can make now.DatOneGuy wrote:As for farming, the quality doesn't effect LP when planting, not sure about harvesting (Haven't really checked), so I assume you mean plant a lot of wheat-> wheat flour->bread dough?

Thanes are just hilarious and hunting LP is indeed broken.burgingham wrote:I am not realy a hunter this map. Thanes will go a long way towards sealing the deal. And to give you some pointers if you can't kill stuf with 64 melee (I only have 50 and I can kill x boars in melee combat, bears are a bit harder :v). Firstly you'll want some decent equipment, this means a decent quality sword (bronze will be your best bet) and armor (again, bronze will probably be your best bet) and a bearcape, you don't need thanes. You'll want to raise your con so you have at least 200 hp, but 300 is better. You'll need to build up 26 IP (gold coins) on each mob, so you'll take some damage. Then you just do call down the thunder/charge 4 knocks of opportunity and a valerous strike. And only hunt stuff that you oneshot. If you don't kill stuff in one hit then you'll either need to switch to lower level mobs or build up your strength, which is rather fast if you just go into the wilds and kill/eat boars/bears.
