Ring of Brodgar Wiki

Should regularly dump wiki files so it can be hosted as a backup.

I think the actual information in wiki is not THAT useful, but the templates are.
I've been playing with the thought of going through all announcements to update all the stuff in wiki.

There's some stuff that's 3ish years old still missing from the wiki. Would be worth combing through basically every update since 2015.

Was a fun game in our village when we tried to list and order all the changes made to farming since 2015.

Is spiff in need of any resources (time, money) to keep the wiki going?

Not as far as I know. (except perhaps time, as he seems very busy at times. You got some time machine for hire. )

Not to sure, old data & iffy interpretations, but I think RoB is not the only/main thing Spiff is using that server for.

[mvgulik]

RoB is back up.

And RoB is going to be moved, at some later date, to an other host/server.
If that goes well you probably would not notice. But ... well, just in case.

thank you!!! i missed it so much while it was down

Its Spiff that doing the work here (and hosting of RoB). I'm just Copy&Pasting related data back and forth.

What is happening for this long downtime to occur? Did you spill the coffee on the server rack?
Are backups possibly kept in mars?

People want explanations!

Personally I would like to try to use some alternative renderer.
POV-Ray comes to mind,

Darn, getting here was a pain!, and this was just one single simple-mesh test.

Its a nice fit though.

I take it there is no interest in the Tree vs Terrain data collection method described here.

Roger that. Canning it, due to lack of interest.
