Game no longer runs w/o crash after messing with option

So I was messing with the video settings and playing with the 'Render scale' option, I could turn it down no problem, but when I turned it up to max, it made my game instantly crash. I tried reloading the game and now every time I log into my character and enter the game, I immediately crash again. I tried reverting the setting under options before loading into the game, and I still get the same crash for some reason.

this is all that shows in my crash dump. I can't figure out a way to load into the game without crashing and reverting video settings to default on the menu screen doesn't help. I tried logging into a new character and that didn't help either.

You are using Ender client, right? Try another client until Ender is fixed.

Game has been updated. Custom clients will fail to launch the game until they are also updated. Cheers.

Not every patch will break clients, one of the main reasons for rather unorthodox take on the client-server model is that client does not need updating every time they change something.

Of course, sometimes something is, intentional or not, changed to a degree that update is mandatory.

looks like you guys were right, update I think fixed it for me. Didn't think that would be the issue since I changed an option initially to start crashing, but o well, im just glad I can play again haha.
