Less villagers=Less village authority drain?
I don't know if this is how it works already but it seems that it's near impossible to keep a village claim up as an individual as it drains just way too fast. It's still sort of annoying with 2-3 people but yeah. My thought is that village authority should drain slower the less people there are. I'm sure I can see people abusing that fact but it's just ridiculous right now.
I won't deny the fact that it is possible to do it as a solo guy but it's kinda' tough if it's a fairly new character without full ls gear.

I think that's the point.ViciousGamer04 wrote:I won't deny the fact that it is possible to do it as a solo guy but it's kinda' tough if it's a fairly new character without full ls gear.
But other than that, it's really not that difficult. I've been the only 'active' member of my village for almost two weeks and we're fine for authority, and I don't grind or macro constantly.

You shouldn't be able to keep up a village claim as a single player, that's why they call it a village.

By tough I mean near impossible. Well, how many hours a day, do you play? and lol at end part. I had a guy that I played for like 3-4 hours a day sometimes 5-8 and the village claim for that guy running a solo village always drained out very soon after. He had full LS gear although imo he was still nub stats. Also what's your INT/CHS(Or whatever the stats were to make village authority add into villager quicker. XD)? lol, trying to get an idea of how much I would need on a guy to actually keep a village claim up as a solo character. One that i'll probably only be on for maybe 1-2 hours.. perhaps 2&a half hours for some days of the week.springyb wrote:I think that's the point.ViciousGamer04 wrote:I won't deny the fact that it is possible to do it as a solo guy but it's kinda' tough if it's a fairly new character without full ls gear.

Why not? What's wrong with a solo aspect to a game, especially a sandbox one.burgingham wrote:You shouldn't be able to keep up a village claim as a single player, that's why they call it a village.

Even in a sandbox game you shouldn't get everything too easy, but there needs to be some effort put in to achieve certain goals. Effort does not necessarily just mean playing time, but can also be the will and ability to form a community. This game should be played in groups, if you want to achieve everything there is to achieve.

I never understand why people want to play an MMO and do so as a single player. GO play a single player game.ViciousGamer04 wrote: Why not? What's wrong with a solo aspect to a game, especially a sandbox one.
Ta multiplayer game is suppose to give advantages to people who form communities. Especially pk games.

You play the MMO as an individual while doing trades with others and making new friends. Where as in a single player game you don't have that element of gameplay. It's also a good feeling to achieve things on your own as opposed to working as a group to achieve "said" things.Chakravanti wrote:I never understand why people want to play an MMO and do so as a single player. The whole reason authority drain was introduced was to get rid of one-man villages like yours. Really, it isn't hard at all to keep authority up.

Re: Less villagers=Less village authority drain?
Authority should be harder to get, although I like the current system.
Very simple to keep up a village with one or two people, now that CHA actually has a use, you should be pumping that which also helps the village claim, so yeah...
Really one man villages should be next to impossible, you're a man, not a village, you want to be a hermit you don't need a village. That's not to say you don't 'deserve' a village, but to say that you decided to scrap the idea of a village as a community which is a major aspect, so why turn around and say "But I want a village claim".
