Can you advance your forager credo by picking plants from garden pots?

just picked 2 uncommon snapdragons and it didn't count for my forager credo.

Harvest = specifically collect from a garden pot.

Pick = specifically collect from the wild.

Forager Credo should only ever ask you to "pick" herbs, but Gardener Credo can request either.

Can a new character have the exact same name as their direct ancestor? I would assume so since AFAIK there is no duplicate name check for players in general (never heard for one at least) but would be nice to know in case I end up wanting to kill my character to inherit.
