happens to me too, but mostly when on horse.
pulling a cart between different floor types can sometimes detach the cart. thing stone to grass, grass to forest, sometimes even between stone to brick paving

Yes, when you are on a horse and have attached cart sometimes when you go from biome A to biome B it detach. Example, from forest to grassland etc.
