Run speed ants
I had a sling and a flint knife, tried getting a few rocks off at the ants before fighting them in melee. I missed, picked up my rocks, but when I then targeted an ant it just starts chasing me fast enough to keep up with my run speed. I didn't have the stats/gear to fight it directly so I KO'd.
It was funny but I'm pretty sure that wasn't intended, did the ranged system mess up the melee system or the ant behavior?

Intended. You can't shoot ants (intended) and varying animal speed (also intended).

Theres super ants which are fast af. U go water to avoid them
