Just died, lost key, double palisades claim now useless. Didn't make an alt with a key cause I'm dumb.
That said! Nerf seal and walrus landspeed. For Christ's sake why is a walrus outrunning me and why is a seal a land torpedo? Goodbye neighbors. Goodbye sweet ass island. Goodbye just-finished giant personal claim, farm, and all that hermit shit.

So your master key was on your main?
Please explain the situation. I'm 100% sure you can get your base back.
Inherit your died dude and you inherit his hearth fire... You'll respawn by this location.
Then if you have no way of getting out of your palisade then you can create characters until one is close enough...
Or use vortexes to quickly get closer...
Use the world map : https://map.hearthworld.com/?x=-69&y=-25&zoom=-6

Quell the beast hearth magic exists for situations like this. Put it on your hotbar.

Your key is still there unless someone else picked it up. I remember dropping my keys in the wild and picking them up the following day.

Thank you other people for the tips!waga wrote:I died and I'm an idiot change mechanics because of my stupidity is how I read this thread.
haha yeah I was thinking that as I wrote it. I only just became aware of their speed recently. unironically if I hadn't died I'd still maybe have made the post. Like, forget the dying part - why the hell are they so fast? That walrus was moving faster than speed 3! and the seal was speed 4! from a counterplay perspective (ie running away) not much there for it.
EXCEPT QUELL THE BEAST! which i forgot about. thank you so much forum person. Gonna take a day or two off and then roll it all again. Just got to. 1500 players on is just something else and I'm here for it 'til the wheels fall off.

Re: Change seal and walrus land speed.
seals on land should be pretty slow, seems that you (un)lucked into a random fast one

there are also. randomised speeds. so you are exactly 0 % safe whenever hunting anything on foot.Archipenos wrote:

your "counterplay" aside from checking for safespots/cliffs/caves/rivers, before engaging a massive animal, in a hand to hand boxingmatch. is being on a horse. or a wagon, or a fucking sled, or a snek,
