How do I meet other players? I've seen plenty of homesteads and forts and whatnot. Many have livestock and other signs of activity within. But no players.

I have 33 hours played now, and haven't met anyone. I have seen some players in game chat every now and then, but when I said hello, no one replied to me.

Is everyone super suspicious of players they don't know?

What about not seeing any players in game? Is this normal? I created a toon just to explore the map and have been sailing in a dugout through the rivers and lakes and around the coastal waters. I have explored about half the middle continent's coastline from the north around to the east and south and have seen absolutely no one.

I have explored about half the middle continent's coastline from the north around to the east and south and have seen absolutely no one.

The world is actually pretty massive, and the amount of players that are on regularly is fairly low compared to the world size. I see about 2 people on average out in the wild each week and because of world PvP, the other person usually runs away (I’m careless and bold and don’t mind meeting people even if I die). I actually would say it’s a good thing you’ve not met anyone out in the waters. PvPers are in three places - sieging opponent villages, sailing around attacking people in boats, or offline. You want to make friends out of the game first or in the safety of your own base. What this ends up meaning is most people are in their bases farming or maybe in their mines or something. This is the consequence of world PvP with permadeath.

First time noticed, but what does the icon next to quality on items mean? I always seen the blue dot next to quality and this time I saw a star next to quality.

Also how fast do wounds heal those that heal over time and those that are treated? Is it any wound number 1 per minute or what?

How far do animals q nodes migrate at every full moon? Some time ago I have seen someone posting screenshot of that and it was not far. Can someone confirm?

For the icon settings, for example if I sellect a certain tree type to be visible and when I chop the tree down will the icon disappear or do I need to toggle it for it no longer to show up?

You take a wool with a stone shard applied, this will make a yarn, then you'll make a rope for example (all items will be starred).

Yes if you chop a tree the minimap icon will disappear.

Is there a smart and fast way to get loads of ash? I have a slight memory of someone telling me that when I was living in WB in W15. But, being an old lady - I have forgotten of course.
