I always use tabs but I learned programming only from loftar's code
He uses both for some reason he specified somewhere

Those that still default to Spaces ... Are to old to play this game.

Mixed ... That's just laziness.

You can see some pattern in this laziness tho, like another level of binary sequence. We can only wonder what data might be stored there

I, myself, am spaces connoisseur, precisely because I was navigating the source code like this the whole time thinking it was supposed to look like this and just followed some insane formatting style.

It wasn't until I opened it in a different IDE with 8-space tabs default and noticed that it didn't look as ridiculous as before and enabled whitespace highlighting.

It's not just laziness, though. It is pretty consistent at squashing all 8 spaces into tabs while leaving the remaining 4 spaces intact.

Still insane, but not as insane as writing the whole codebase without indentation like it's FORTRAN or something...

Was more thinking it was human generated mixed indentation ... although that idea lost its logic after giving it some more thoughts.
So it was just the/some ide auto-indentation at work (ie: 8 spaces indentation -> make Tab).
