What if there was some kind of choice in which direction you wanna take the buffs, either open borders = lower cost for inter-realm travel but medium cost in-realm or closed borders = higher cost between realms but cheaper inside. This could feed into how players wage war too. Maybe increase the costs for building siege machinery in open border realms vs closed bordersjorb wrote:Some sort of bonus there would probably not be amiss!Luno wrote:What if members of a realm had huge discount on their travel costs while inside their realm, or perhaps have the point of start change reverted while inside the realm? Perhaps traveling can be free for those inside their own realm?

Lost woods thingpeace challenge: a few alts bash the challenge within the time it takes 5 of us to walk across the screen, literally 100% to dead in less than 10 seconds. Rageless alts proceed to walk back into pali 5 tiles from thingwall.
I challenge h4d thingpeace: 1 naked alt starts bashing, I chase him 5 minutes he runs into pali. A couple minutes later 1 main comes and just bashes it in front of my face. All I can do is spam KITO and low cleave on him but it does nothing, he then just casually waltz back to his palisade.
Its like the plebs have finally figured out that ur basically immortal in this game if u just know how to do the most simple button pressing.
The soak of this thing challenge + rageless gates makes it a totally pointless mechanic tbh.

imo pvp should be focused on neutral objectives which should be attractive for pvpers to fight over instead of destroying someone village and make the world deadMightySheep wrote:Lost woods thingpeace challenge: a few alts bash the challenge within the time it takes 5 of us to walk across the screen, literally 100% to dead in less than 10 seconds. Nerds have been begging on the forums for just 1 more concession to make things safer for 15 years. The game has gone from "you get KOed, you die", anybody with 700ish strength being able to bash into your pali to kill you/break your shit, and needing to keep rams inside your walls to counter siege, to:
Nowadays I have not died to PVP outside of crashes/bugs in like 10 years because everything is so neutered, in spite of being literally the most consistently aggressive retard on the server. Also they literally removed siege from the game. I don't think the unique appeal this game has can survive many more "just 1 more concessions" without """losing its soul""" or some gay shit, if it hasn't already
Some or maybe even most of these concessions probably are probably very nice QoL with minimal impact, but in aggregate? So fucking boring. I would give up so much QoL for something interesting to occasionally happen, instead of quitting on week 4 every world because all that's left is tedium without risk or interesting events breaking up the monotony
btw I'm not sure if you're just too old to notice but jorb literally isn't even removing the em dashes

Re: Content deny strategy
If the "feedback" is "remove Realms", then, yes, that will, indeed, not happen. And, I mean, obviously that is not the right move either, to the point where I can't quite take seriously the proposition. Clearly a larger political entity than the village is very cool and an auto-include. What we can discuss, however, are the precise mechanics of them.Nightdawg wrote:feedback given. feedback acknowledged. feedback closed as 'won’t fix'

Re: Content deny strategy
delusional swedish man imagines waking up 3 times between 11pm-8am to build a flag on a naked alt then going back to bed without even checking if somebody attacks it is an approximation of society or politics or something
idk how to tell you this but nobody except weird egotistical gamer girls that get off on the idea of hermits thinking they're ""powerful""" or something have ever cared about realms. They're a consolation prize for women who are too fat to get likes on instagram (just like me frrrrr)
