Steel is required to participate in somewhat equal pvp a couple of weeks in. So steel is in general one of those elements which is limiting pvp for a more general audience.

Re: Content deny strategy
My village mate and I left our base because of its proximity to that dastardly PvP village. While leaving we had to sneak past their base and it was very, very exciting. Anyways, we snuck past and it was awesome. Down the shore a ways, we spotted a naked afk at the end of a river. Then another. Then another. Then another. But wait! We could have used deep ocean to not be seen! But wait! We were told only noobs travel in deep ocean because you need to be able to get to shore to pretend to run from the PvPer! Turns out they were multiboxing custom clients with the alarm sound turned on for a player entering map. They had used custom clients and multiple accounts to create radar, essentially. Then, despite maybe a ten minute lead, using their much faster boat, they caught up to us. I was a few minutes ahead. They killed my friend, then, seeing we were in rowboats, assumed our course (only one viable high seas crossing in that direction) and found me and our new base. They threw all of our loot in the ocean and came back every night for a few days to break the new claim. All of this was only possible because they were multiboxing custom clients. None of the information they acted on was "earned."SnuggleSnail wrote:ur so out of touch with the pvp culture of this game
You're the one who is divorced from pvp culture, at least from the perspective of the normal player. To you, custom clienting/multiboxing is just how it goes. To me, that is fucking cheating. Now they lost 2 subs to preserve 1 sub. IE they lost money by allowing people to openly cheat. Believe me, its not strictly custom client i'm whining about here, but the multiboxing customs to create an alarm system over the entire continent's river exits. That's 1. insanely high effort, and 2. giving them what amounts to map/wall hacks in other PvP games. That is the dogshit you defend. I thought it was all low effort and casual? Lemme tell you, if low effort is running two dozen clients to create a networks of afk bot spies, i'm fucking zero effort.

what does you getting fucked up by ainran have to do with springyb pretending to be an insider
it seems to me like you're just one of those people that can't handle losing, and will complain about whatever's convenient as a coping mechanism

The funny thing about ainran is they are exactly the type of players who prove everything these guys say wrong. They have very low stats normally and they bully 90% of the playerbase and there's nothing any high tier pvpers can really do to them because they know how easy it is to escape. They are borderline impossible to gank.
Faithfultoad you're so honestly so out of touch with how pvp actually works that it's boring to have a discussion. I can't imagine getting this worked up about something I don't understand. Why dont u see if somebody will invite u to a group fight or something then u might have the bare minimum understanding to speak on the topic and ur essays will start making sense

I have, am, and always will be pro PvP. Yeah Hurricane client is great it's clear Nightdawg puts a lot of effort into it. However, you are arguing against hallucinated opinions my shitpost had nothing to do with so I honestly don't know what you're bonging about.MightySheep wrote:You mean Hurricane? The public client? Why would you be using default client? I never understood the argument about default client. Everyone on WoW uses curseforge add ons, everyone on runescape uses runelight. Why are we talking about default haven vs "custom client" every 2 seconds on forum? Just download Hurricane like every other player and stop using it as a pathetic excuse.

Lol. Ainran does this every world they live on an Island and put naked alt everywhere. They currently live in south Midgard and have alt on like 8 different thingwalls.surfpen1 wrote:Competitive play is truly broken and is in great need.Archipenos wrote:the multiboxing to create an alarm system over the entire continent's river exits. You could technically do that in almost any pvp game tbh, ppl complain about it in Albion etc. Not sure Id call it 'competitive play'. Its 1 group of ppl with a particular type of autism who have actively avoided any kind of PvP for many worlds. They just bully bottom of the barrel types who refuse to learn the absolute basics, so in essence they are really doing the lords work and Im all for it. I saw some other hermit recently called Truesight he said he is new to the game but he have good gear and seemed to know wat hes doing, he is an example of someone Ainran wouldnt gank, despite it being his 2nd world apparently. So its really just a problem of you guys being bad.
You clearly are though. Can you prove otherwise? Got any video or screenshot or anything? I dont believe youre some experienced player and yet your post so full of wrong information, ur a fraudFaithfulToadd wrote:while I'm relatively new to posting on the forums, I am not new to the game, or new to PvP.
Not true. You have wrote probably about 10 essays by this point about what you think the problem with PvP is. You cant just now deflect it by saying your opinion isnt your own and name dropping some shittersFaithfulToadd wrote:...
