SWIMMING

Post by blainemono »

Out of pure curiosity, how much constitution do you need to swim across an average river and not drown?

On the unrelated topic, what's wrong with bears lately? If memory serves me well, only a month or so ago they were lumbering, unrelenting behemots; even a river couldn't quench their primeval bloodlust.

Now, for every rock I sling at them from the relative safety of my boat they perform the same undecisive routine: first, they scamper away into the woods, then, after reaching the combat-ending distance, they turn back and attempt to maul me some more.

It's a sure sign of trouble in a species' collective psyche when everyone starts to act like a teenage girl in the mall!

On the bears, I asked the same question a while back, turned out that I started to deal enough damage in a single hit to actually scare them. Your not supposed the mention the second part though, that's the trade secret, so SHHHHHH

On Swimming: If there was a 'how don't I' sub-forum, this topic would go there... but no less that 90 constitution is recommended before you even dare try it.

I was hunting and a stupid river was blocking my way. Since I hade no intention of going back already I gave it a try. Of course I tested the waters first and swam one or two tiles to see how much stam it would drain.

Carry some silver for the ferryman if you really feel like trying it.
