Developed skulls no longer give discovery?

I plucked a developed skull from a skeleton for the first time this world but got no discovery lp or skull pike recipe

Is this broken?

I'd assume it requires the murder skill or something but I didn't get the discover LP for picking the skull in the first place so that's probably not the reason

What is the build path for you? Under furniture somewhere right?

Very weird.

Here is my skill sheet currently

I was able to describe this skull onto a piece of parchment, but it just shows as generic "hearthling skull"

Shadow, wtf is wrong with your skull bro??

I have discovered tin nuggets, cloth, wood blocks...
