it's so fucking funny to me how vile and abrasive you guys become whenever the server is down for a couple hours but when there are actual problems with the game or it's development you either stay silent or cheer them on and buy gold subs

i was about to aggro a mammoth and server crashed on me. i will probably login to a dead character. You wouldnt be all happy if something like that happened to you

you are more likely to login to another failed prediction. but thank you for proving my point regarding the fact that the players only care about issues when it affects them personally

Jorbtar will one day pull the plug like this crash. Cancel their host and say nothing, and maybe, for a lot of us, that'd be a good thing. To stop dreaming of the game that could be.

I have seen this happen a couple of times in the past. I remember the first time Shores of Hazeron shut down there was literally just a 5 minute warning in-game with total lack of communication both before and after for like a year. Small MMO devs are scary because you never know what's going on in their heads.

Time stands still, nothing happens when the server is down. I don't believe any aggros are saved, wild animals possibly don't get saved either so even if you are able to log back in the moment the server comes up it is unlikely that Mammoth will still be there.

But if you are OUTLAWED you stay in the world. So if you're in a dangerous place, you or someone else has to stay up and be ready to get your character to safety as soon as loftar reboots the server. Else that character is likely toast, through no fault of your own.


All characters should be logged out on server crash with time paused until they log back into the game.
