What is the proggresion for Curriosities?

Post by Rutilanium »

Im having trouble really understanding curiosity progression as im a bit of a newbie. Ive always just used ant queens and pretty much anything i can find in the forest, which is probably why im proggresing so slowly. Any good curios that are worth the effort? Thanks :D

Whatever you can easily acquire and fills up your study window (and study circle/desk) as to let you do things besides gathering curios, such as work on the expansion of you're infrastructure, fleshing out your selection of available crops, trading for tools or getting more attributes so that you can study more things.

It usually goes foraging
early hunting(bird wishbones, feather trinkets, mirkwood offering & basically the "rite & ritual" menu) or farming related (straw dolls, grain husks)
midgame hunting(you have fine butchering and can kill large animals for brains and hides) or primitive metalworking (tin/lead divinations) or midgame farming (flower bouquets)

You may find value in the "set up and forget" types of curiosities that have a low learning point/hour yield but that last for a very long time since if your study window runs out of things then your LP/H drops to 0.

If you have some farm you can make stawdolls.
Make a kiln so you can make toy chariots from acre clay. I think curios from glass like potent rod and prism are good pick too, but they need a lot of effort to make glass.

Don't sweat it, you're going to be making an infinite amount of things to study. Time and effort spent trying to make q40 straw dolls (2x, 1700LP) rather than q10 ones (1x, 850) is better spent elsewhere and other things.
Quality resources should be going towards tools & productive buildings>clothes+armor & gildings first.
