Transporting materials

Hi

Is there anything better than a cart for hauling things like logs of wood? My brother and I are attempting to build our first house in the wilderness but its not going so easy as we only just started. Also been looking for those WWW seeds but so far haven't spotted a single one!

if your just starting, i'm surprised you have a cart, the only thing up from that is a wagon, which you need alot fo linen, bone glue, and rope, and a cow to pull it, and for the WWW you need at least 8 exp to see then, 15 to see them more readaly, also, get your per up, that'll help tooif you have 20 exp, and 15 per, you should be able to see them alot more

we got a cart built fairly quickly, and now we're building a small house, transporting boughs is a pain in the rear but its nearly done

I just fill the cart with crates and carry a crate as well whilst hauling the cart.

I read that about exploration needing to be at least 8 to spot those herbs, Ive got it at 9 at the moment but still not seen any. The problem with raising my PER is that I can't find any food nearby that does it. So far we are surviving on apples and random chickens/rabbits we manage to find. we are close to starving all the time

if you travel on paved ground, the cart is much faster.
create a two tiles wide street to your forest grounds

also, some heartlings go by foot stuff their inventory with wood, grab a log and telepot to their heartfire
(this also works with full travel weariness!)

when you start seeing WWW, dry them all a drying rack, your prioritys to hope to find and carrots and hemp or flax, the former for perc(carful tho, carrots grow crazy fast once you get going) and the later to get plant fiber to make an herbilst table to dry your WWW's( and other stuff) faster

If you can build a cart, try getting the skill to build a boat. Upping the Exploration to around 10 makes them appear better, but 15+ is the Best...
You need to Travel a LONG Distance from your base, cause your there all the time, nothing spawns in the local area (just off screen) that much.

I've almost got exploration to 15 so I'm hoping they start popping up soon. Is harvesting a hemp/flax plant the only way to get plant fibres? I'll check out what's needed for a boat...

yes hemp/flax are the only way to get fibers but things that require string can use taproot instead.
