The problem isn't really the frequency of updates, it's the utter dev silence. We have no idea when the next patch is, we have no idea what they're working on or if they're even working on anything, we have no idea what the plan or vision is for the next few months or years (besides OCO). It makes Haven feel like abandonware and it's honestly disrespectful to the players who've supported the game with their time or money for years.

I'm not even a fan of weekly updates. I'd rather Haven had 2-4 major patches a year instead of 50 tiny patches consisting of bug fixes or a new cupboard color or whatever. But devs need to actually communicate with players and tell us what they're working on (eg dev diaries). If selling hats is important to fund the game, they could release a new hat with each new dev diary.

As things stand, best case scenario is someone creates Haven's spiritual successor and we all migrate over to it.

Worst case scenario, that doesn't happen, and this game and its unique genre continues its slow, painful death. Truly tragic.

Well it was like that since beginning of times, it was the same when you joined the game, I only don't get at what point people get this idea that devs ought to talk to them

unfortunately some part of the playerbase has reached unfathomable levels of cuckery (also known as Stockholm syndrome) and will continue to buy subscriptions as long as there is no outright announcement of the game shutting down. like I've legit seen people air their grievances with a certain update or whatever, and then, a week or a month later they are asking for help because their previous payment method (for buying hats) is not working

i'd rather no dev communication vs. being expected to watch a 10 minute youtube video full of freaks just to get 2 or 3 lines worth of patch notes

If it can exist then so be it, even with "27 heartling" online, those 27 ppl enjoy staying here, you really don't put them in consideration at all ?

There's no game that "Die" it's Gaming community term to use as an excuse so they can "finally gave up" their addiction of XXX game to play the another one.
Well, you can say they did die because server went offline, but to this day I thinks Old Monster Hunter game can still run and have multiplayer.

As long as the game exist, there will be ppl playing it.

Shutting it down for a Glorious moment, what do you mean Glorious end ? are we fighting something ??

I made my point, the game is alright, even if I'm the only one left and the server still run and I didn't play PoE or another game, I can come back and still enjoy every moment of it.
