Re: Discussion about archery, and sniping people
People shouldn't be able to afk in peace. This leads to that the grand majority of people who you actually see are not afk. This way, we avoid having a world where people see afk people all the time, which breaks the "MMO" feeling.

do you even play hnh? Because what your saying is idiotic.naosnule wrote:People shouldn't be able to afk in peace. This leads to that the grand majority of people who you actually see are not afk. Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Maybe I expressed me wrongly. The safer people feel having their characters afking in plain sight, the more characters will be afking in plain sight; simple logic. If you want that change, that's your opinion. I don't. I prefer a world populated by people who are actually online and will not support an idea that causes people to leave their characters afk in visible range.overtyped wrote:do you even play hnh? Furthermore, walls are already very strong as it is.
Finally, in real life archers will not shoot straight, but in angle to hit targets behind a wall.

How is it bad that they are in plain sight?

The difference is that I would see them (the afkers that is) and that reduces my immersion.NOOBY93 wrote:They will AFK one way or another.naosnule wrote: (...)

you may find this shocking: haven is not a roleplaying gamenaosnule wrote:The difference is that I would see them (the afkers that is) and that reduces my immersion.
its also far from immersive; all of havens mechanics are very "gamey" and the reliance on custom clients makes this worse
