I'm sure it's different for the stat gaps between factions who already have top tier symbel and food, but as an experienced hermit the new hunger system has massively boosted my stat growth. Newbies who used to permanently ruin their hunger by eating random garbage are no doubt even better off. It's been a huge positive change for people on the lower end of stats.Vladichka wrote:Unfortunate reality is that people who were actively reducing their hunger bar by questing and other means (the same people who have a lead on stats) are barely affected by this system, while people it's meant to help recover less hunger than they used to before this system was implemented.
It increases the stat gap even further rather than closing it. The idea was good, the implementation is lame as usual.

Can't say it's the same for me, I feel like weekly hunger resets recover a lot less hunger for me than continuous reset used to. Hence lower gains from consuming the same amount of food.VDZ wrote:I'm sure it's different for the stat gaps between factions who already have top tier symbel and food, but as an experienced hermit the new hunger system has massively boosted my stat growth. Meanwhile my stats are garbage.
I don't think it's possible for anyone to benefit from this system, it's designed to slow down the lead, not accelerate the people at the rear of the bus. In reality it slows down everyone, but has a bigger effect on people who don't manipulate fep bar on resets, eat salt or quest for hunger.
You are right about newbies who ruin their hunger with garbage, that is true. In the first week I got the same stats at 400% satiation as my fellow villager at 700% satiation and we both got the same satiation after reset (because this system rewards eating cupboards of food like an idiot, does not reward putting any thought into eating). This is another reason why this system is garbage and achieves the opposite of rewarding people who eat less.

The hunger change is basically just putting everyone who's not questing for hunger reduction/eating salt for hunger significantly behind lol
