There is either infinite capacity or so much that you can't even tell in a Barter Stand.
I've already stuffed over 50 cupboards of chants/blueberries into a single Barter Stand and can get them out at will, as can others if it's safe so thetheft scents can't be used by others.

I'm not sure I get it; do you mean that it's possible to get beyond the slot limit of the stand? Does it show negative numbers?

Re: Exploitable, somewhat bug
Let's say that I set up a stand and I have 20 Wrought Iron for sale, each Wrought Iron is selling for 54 Blueberries.
When they buy Wrought Iron the Blueberries are placed 'in the stand' in some virtual area that's seemingly unlimited.
Using this by placing a Barter Stand inside my claim that buys Blueberries for low quality bricks I can use 2 characters to continousally place Blueberries into this Barter Stand 'virtual space'.
I've so far placed over 50 cupboards of Blueberries/Chantrelles in it and I'm assuming I can keep going until the array or whatever it's stored in gets to a certain point.
50 cupboards of Blueberries/Chantrelles is over 3,200 Chantrelles, the amount of spcae that would take in Large Chests/Chests to keep outside in a public area is ridiculous.
Since I'm actually 'using' this 'exploit' I want to know if it's actually kosher to use (intended because we don't have things like stockpiles, this is a more annoying way but a good way to do such a thing), or if it's indeed considered an exploit and I should take them out ASAP.

it's not rlly a bug i think he means you can put an unlimited amount of an item in 2 stands with an alt therefor having an unlimited space of goods.

In a single stand you can fit unlimited (not really but somuch it might as well be) of 5 different item types. (Since there are 5 buy/sell slots)

Re: Exploitable, somewhat bug
Well, it is a bit weird, and should probably be fixed for that reason alone -- probably by making it so that new things to sell can only be put into the stand if all payment has been taken out.
The main problem I see with leaving it as it is is that unlimited storage can increase map loading times absurdly (at least potentially, though I'm not sure if it's a problem in reality). Limited storage does help in keeping down the sheer number of things being stored, after all.

So if you want to bring down someone's village, you load up a stand in a brick wall with 10 million dirt? lol

Re: Exploitable, somewhat bug
loftar fixed this, and the new fix is simply beautiful. Not only does it stop ridiculous overloading but it also makes barter stands still the 100% undisputable BEST way to store items.
Why you may ask? A typical barter stand (made of low quality shit I got from trading) is around 24 slots. With the new system you cannot add more things to sale unless what you have in the slot is 'taken' out. so let's say I go through the first slot and add 24 low quality bricks for sale, for 56 Chantrelles each, this allows me to place 24*56 (1,344) Chantrelles in that slot, now after that slot is full I can start on the next slot and place the same amount of Chantrelles in it again (1,344), this means that realistically in that one stand (Something like 6 tiles) I can hold 1,344*5 (6,720) Chantrelles. This is with a low quality barter stand. Higher quality barter stands have reportedly been past 100 slots, that's 100*56 (5,600) Chantrelles per slot!
The only negative to mass storing in there is that you can't Mousewheel out of Barter Stands, so storing bricks or things with 'signs' is useless, however things like Chants, Berries, Bulbs? Friggin' beautiful.
