Ok not 100% sure it wasn't posted here before, but search revealed nothing, so, here is a russian mmo game in development, it's called Steel and Steam, it might, or might not, remind you of something, you've already played, i'l do a little translation from "about" page:
"Game beta release date: 2011
Game is powered by Delphi 7 Lite Full(ed.2009) and Andorra 2D graphical engine
Description: World of 1800's setting, with a little technology advances like steam machines, no fantasy, no magic.
Main game features :
- Giant game world separated on different locations
- No quests, players are going to build the world by themselves
- Non-restrictive gameplay (you can build or destroy anything)
- Everything can be demolished, has it's own durability, decay eventually in the open
- PvP anywhere, no safe zones. Full loot.
- No leveling advancing system
- Getting experience for any actions you do.
"
(Some style blunders are intentional, wanted to translate that it isn't written in best russian there are, so to speak)
And, of course, here is some early stages of development screenshots (srs warning - it may hurt your eyes, with all those jelly colors and whatnot)

They also getting rid of the permadeath by erecting resurrection machines, not even joking. But overall, if there is some russian speakers who didn't saw it yet - go check it out, there are many, many, very lulzy things, with fbr agents and trains. Here is their site http://steelandsteam.ru/
And, of course, after reading pretty short post list on the forum in becomes more than obvious that some kids played H&H, got butthurt over permadeath and decided to do a H&H clone without it, and without mentioning it's a H&H clone, of course.
But it also appears very unlikely this project is going to actually release ever so it's not like that's a big deal. Just wanted to share of something i personally find amusing.

that's... kind of cool i guess. imo they tried to have to much detail in the graphics, ground texture looks too busy, not enough subject/field difference between trees and ground. the lack of permadeath kind of sucks too. the setting is interesting though, and i think there is a lot of room for sandbox mmos, i certainly find them more interesting than linear, quest driven typical mmos.

Very obviously a clone, not that I have any particular issue with that. But damn, those are ugly graphics. I mean really, really ugly. I couldn't stand to play that for even 5 minutes.
