So does perception affect bow damage now, or are they still pulling a punk move and leaving it as it is, after fixing animal pathfinding, and worse, making vicious animals run.

Boars, and Bears, most certainly should not run.

Foxes when injured

Deers always, rabbits always. etc.

Archery is not fixed. Its actually even more hosed. At least the other two types of combat chase fleeing animals. Archers just stand and watch them run away.
Archery should be the BEST at getting fleeing game, not the worst.

Wow, so what the hell is loftar and jorb thinking making animals run without fixing archery first? Do they want people to do nothing but farm?

Fuck that, Now that all animals run I'm quitting until archery is fixed, or you can switch from melee to ranged and back again with the click of a button.

if you put your melee attack and your ranged attack in your hotbelt or whatever it's called you can switch between them with the number keys

On another note of marksmanship. I think when you pick up arrows and you have a quiver equiped they should go into the quiver if there's any room first. this would simplify hunting sooo much.

I'm fine with boars running really but bears should fight to the death.

As top-of-the-food-chain predators they probably couldn't really comprehend that something, especially something as big as a hearthling, would hunt or be able to kill them.
