A new use for the studying mechanic

So the studying mechanic is pretty cool, how about items that take up attention and space in the mental inventory, but provide little or no lp? Studying these items would be done not for lp, but to give power to your village, ancestors, or your local gods.

Hmm, do you think you could elaborate on this? Your idea is intriguing and would definitely be something of interest but some definition would help me grasp my head around what you're getting at.

I think by giving power to the village he means those items would provide LP or authority gains only, but not for yourself. I am against that though, because it would lead to alts stuffed with such items to keep up all your satellite villages.

Giving power to your ancestors might mean getting Numen? That on the other hand might be a nice idea.

The third one needs elaboration though indeed or maybe all 3 do and I just didn't get it right.

kinda needs some new and improved systems, but it's a solid idea. this + writing down recipes, trading, and studying them and i think the study system would be pretty well rounded.

Mainly I mean using this system as a method of powering up another new system, like religion.
About alts: have the effectiveness of the study be dependent on the stats of the character doing the study (a potential use for charisma).
