Like new curiosity tha twould be found on mountians and gathered with buckets.
Later it could be used to make ice that can be carved into ice skulptures with stoneworking
Good or bad idea?

Re: Snow
You've got the makings of a decent suggestion, but I'm not getting a great picture from two lines of text. As TeckXKnight said, flesh it out.
Snow would be kind of nice, yes; you'd find it at the center of a sufficiently-large mountain terrain. With the "Dig" skill, you could harvest some of it for use in various objects.
You could shape it into a ball, and throw it at other hearthlings for some harmless ranged "sparring," or piss off some of the wildlife; pretty sure some people wouldn't be too keen on a "useless" weapon, though.
You could also, with some glass and water, make a snow-globe, which would be a curio, obviously, or possibly a table decoration.
Perhaps you could use it in a recipe? It sounds retarded, yes, but having some kind of "Shaved Ice" recipe might be kind of fun.
Hell, it could even be a way to get higher-quality water through a process of melting. It probably wouldn't be quite so balanced, though, unless there were a number of steps in the process where quality could nosedive... And then you wouldn't even bother.
I don't know; just flesh out your idea a bit more.

Re: Snow
hmm, snow...
possibly a new terrain type, same speed and stamina drain as swamp.
-when dug in you get snow in your inven, this can be put in a bucket over fire to make water of the same Q.
-when digging you randomly get ice, which could be used in the recipe for ice doll/sculpture
-spawns randomly around the map, every now and then.
-spawns most commonly around mountains.
-perhaps could even build snowman, by carrot x1, branch x2, top hat <noobs one> x1.
this would be completely worthless and have no bonus whatsoever apart from decoration, as they remain until you destroy them.
-perhaps new animal/moving curio- but i cant think of any
-no way to recreate the terrain your self

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

Re: Snow
Instead of a common forageable, name it "Unique Snowflake" and make it a rare curio found gathering, like the Spider.cloakblade wrote:I just like the idea of snow being a curiosity. Like someone seeing if for the first time. It would just be something that would be another node located on top of a mountain.

although i was 1/2 kidding about the snow man. it'd benice to see a dedicated nomad spending his life chasing the snow nodes until the land is covered in snowmen
