There should be a search function, that allows you to 'look' for hidden plants in an area. So say you use it, you might find an extra 2 chantrelle, and some seeds.
This would need a high ammount of exploration and perception, but could give higher quality plants. Since seeds are scattered 'naturally' it makes sense.
