Unable to launch the application

Postby Zeus » Fri May 29, 2009 8:51 am

Hi,

I just signed up, but I can't play the game.

When I hit Play, Java 6's splash page loads up, then the following error message:

"Application Error - Unable to launch the application."

I've been to the java page and it says, "You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 13)." I've tried to play in both Firefox 3.0.10 and IE7, but I get the same error each time. (I'm running XP Home.)

Any ideas?

I'm getting this in IE7 myself.

In Opera I get a download dialog for a file named "autohaven.psp"

I thought I had sorted out all those kinds of early errors. Would you mind trying again? If you get the error again, there should be a tab in the error dialog named "Exception". Could you post the contents of the text box on that tab here on the forum?

Interesting. I had no idea that could happen. This forum post on Sun's site explains how to fix it.

if you click loftar's link you would see:

- open java control panel
- general tab
- temporary internet files > settings
- tick temporary files on my computer
- click ok
- apply
