Idea: sailing boat

What i have in mind is a boat that is more spacious than rowboat, at least 4 if not 6 storage places. faster than rowboat by a tiny bit, but unable to sail on shallow waters due to its size. Also it could take up to 4 players aboard.
I'd suggest soemthing around these materials to be used for making it:
300 boards
40 logs
25 ropes
150 linen cloth
20 bone glue
30 metal nugget.
If this is possible, it would be fun to be able to enter boat's room, 4x2 space just like houses, where you could build cupboards and whatnot.

Sprite to be used for it should be at least twice the size of a rowboat, with huge, vision obstructing sail

There's a problem with this idea.
A. Rivers are handled in tiny pods and arn't connected, so your use is pretty limited.
B. There's no oceans or even large lakes to have practical sailboat use.
