coins of mixed quality seem to take the lowest quality
rather than taking the average quality, mixing two stacks of coins seems to take the lowest quality of the two stacks.

That's bizarre, seeing as as far as I can tell, if I put a dirty quarter on a stack with a clean quarter, they don't both come out medium. They especially don't both get dirty. I'd like to see each coin in a stack remember it's quality, but that's not likely. Frankly, coins shouldn't have quality. Have them be treated as ore, getting Q from the skill of the smelter.
I suppose that averaging quality shouldn't be too bad, though that would mean that someone might take a Q100 bar and three Q0 bars and eventually produce three Q25 bars and a bunch of Q25 coins. This might be seen as an exploit, but I don't think that the alternative- having all coins in the world degrade to the quality of the lowest coin in circulation- is all that good. For one thing, it would make coins worthless for converting back into metal.
Though why I should care about coins I don't know, being as I haven't even seen one since Ragnarok.

Surprise.

Re: coins of mixed quality seem to take the lowest quality
brogdar had been minting a lot of coins, and i have been doing some of the minting, with a small percentage for myself, ending up with coins of varying quality. i haven't amassed enough coin of any type of metal to turn them back into a bar, so i don't know if it is simply a display bug (displaying the lowest q of coin in the stack) or actually making the stack quality = the quality of the lowest coin in the stack.

When you split the stack into single coins are they all at that lowest quality?
