Random Idea For Cattle

Post by fallout »

Just happened to think of how you're not able to harm domesticated animals.
As I was thinking about that, I wondered how it would be if you could melee cattle.
I thought if that was indeed possible, It would be a good idea to give them the same
mechanics as mouflon and aurochs, as in the whole herd of either would attack you
when you engaged in combat with one of the members of the herd. I then thought
it would only make it quicker for them to be killed en masse. So I would believe
it would be an idea to give them equal unarmed skill to their breeding quality.

To end off this idea I would like to note that I never see this going into the game.
(However that also goes with 99.9% of everything suggested in this sub forum)
And merely suggested it as a topic of discussion.

You can't just slaughter them? They still don't fight back.

Not know about this idea implemented in game

Try to kill one of your lower q new calfs

Entire cow farm of 40 cows aggros you and tramples everywhere

:o

I know you're talking about aggro'ing one of a herd, not slaughter but it was an amusing thought.

Problem is, MM combat fucks you. Since you can't legitimately move lovestock indoors, you need a 51x51 curtain wall from wherever your livestock is in order to avoid random griefers shooting your cows for the lulz (I would). In large villages this isn't a horrible thing, but for small hermitages and the like it almost removes the whole idea of having livestock.

It'd be a nice idea for taming though, after you quel the beast once you need to essentially "KO" them to tame.
