Why was I killed

I have played HnH since w5 and have been killed many times but always because of something stupid I did. this world I have been killed 11 times because someone just likes to kill regardless of if they know char or not. I log on this morning to find my char dead and not scents to be found.I had not taken or killed anyone so would like to know how they summoned and killed him. All I've been trying to do is get all my chars together and quit this so called game

you can only be summoned and killed if you leave summonable scents! these are simple to avoid leaving unless as you said you do something stupid.

if you shoot someone with a sling/bow or knock them out in melee combat you'll leave a stink of battery
if you go onto someone's plot and harvest a crop, chop a tree, or break an item you leave a vile vapor of vandalism
if you steal items from a claim or ko'ed player you leave reek of theft
if you kill someone you leave stench of murder(colors aren't exact)

I think collecting foragables on someone's land just leaves a trespassing scent, but not 100% sure...but you get a warning before you do anything that leaves a scent except combat. so if you don't want to be summoned and killed(and sounds like you don't have any defense, probably not even a palisade) don't turn on criminal acts and you'll never leave any scents and will never be able to be summoned and killed!

If you're going to try and troll/not give a serious answer at least add a little humor to it instead of just being another preteen sucking off boxers under streetlights.

Also to the OP, you likely left scents inside your claim or around somewhere and you didn't have a hearthfire at the time. They kept the summon window up until you made a new HF and then logged out. Only real way they could summon you elsewhere unless they broke your HF and went somewhere else to summon or if you simply didn't have a hf at all.

I'm not a kid. I'm probley older than you.
I did not turn criminal acts on. I don't steal, trespass or kill I just like to farm and craft things just to see how high I can get Q up. I was In the process of moving to another village so I was only porting between the 2 villages. I'm not bitching as it was stated I'm just curious how you can be summoned if you have not done anything to leave scents. I just love the way some people judge others without even knowing them.

Agro only leaves Assault, which is a non-summonable scent. You have to KO someone to leave battery.
