Hi,
Today i killed 4 deers in the wild, sttarted to skin/butcher them and due to my great surprize all products from 2 of them were q95, other 2 deers were q96. Before trolling begins, my tool is q100, survival 100. i wasnt drunk either.
I can't remember correct numbers but those deers were healing themselves not by 100 points as well, but less than that.
I've killed, skinned and butchered bazilion of wilderness animals, never seen their quality to drop. Is this bug? or the world ends and everything will drop its Q next days to 0 :> ?
edit: if it matters, animals were killed with q134 sling, about q45 rocks (smelter trash) with MM skill at 76.

Re: Q96 Deers?
The civilization level of the area you were hunting was too high.
You should try hunting in an area with less houses / hearthfires / etc.
I'm not exactly sure how civilzation level is calculated but I think it's based on those structures.

Re: Q96 Deers?
First time I hear about this, yet another thing to learn about this game.
It was indeed near someone's settlement.
Thanks for the answer!

guess it's calculated by claims - the more and the narrow they are the more civ

in the animals avatar picture you see the level in roman capitals - but that doesn't mean a deer with an X is q100 - see above
been going backwards through 120 pages of HDI to find threads with informations about animal levels - these are the ones where it got mentioned:

But still no clue what is "civilisation" ... will keep on searching further ...
